and so today was spent listening to stories that impacts the world. As a geog student, i was already aware about the disparities in the region but the lecture i attended today brought back memories from sec 3 when i went to Cambodia!but first i want to express how disgusted i felt when my gp teacher mentioned that an old man took a picture of a couple in their own home wearing underwear to express how he felt about his other fellow Singaporeans. well, in my own opinion, has everyone lost their personal privacy, whatever we wear at home is to our personal likings, be it underwear or just bra. If someone take photo of that just to show that people should not do that, then i think our society is still not open enough. When teenagers kiss in publics, the elderly stare wide open. Doesn't anyone know its rude to stare. oh gosh! watch more tv and you will discover more about the changing world culture.! no doubt that our society is so protected that every little action is being caught in the camera of either hp or digi cam and then posted online. back to that disgusting man, if he has opinions about them, i shure have opinions about him. There was clearly a choice to make, he could choose to close his windows, he could choose to turn away. YET, he chose to take a picture of them. to me, he just wanted a closer look at their bodies. disgusting right? gosh! becareful girls when standing near windows, you can never know who is looking at you !!!
instead of spending time snapping photos that in your personal opinion is disgusting, why not do some reflection on why u can afford a camera, while there are people in the world who doesn't even have water to drink. instead of complaining to people how stressful you are, use the time to think how many people in the world will die for your place. after the lecture, i felt that life is really unfair, is it too late for reflections? well, i'm only 18!
go to youtube, instead of watching music videos, maybe you can type "clinton's global initiatives" or "teenage influenaza" den maybe that old man will find his life more useful and meaningful rather than taking photos and complaining.
i do wanna go back to cambodia and see if those children we helped back in sec 3 has improved their lives. i do wanna go and make a difference to people's life! oh well! first i need to clear the A's though i still know that many people will die for the place but in my life its still my worst nighmare! hahas
and darling ! i miss u ! (:
